Component In and Out for Betacam Studio Integration

Analog component connections are the high quality standard for most professional analog systems. The BR-DV6000U gives you 3-BNC input and output. S-Video is connected via 4-pin and Composite Video via BNC. With all these options, you can work with video sources from just about any format, old or new.

RS-422 Control and Basic Edit Functions

Lots of people still edit from tape to tape. For frame accuracy, the RS-422 control interface was developed. The BR-DV6000U can be used as a linear edit machine in the traditional way. Additionally, the deck has basic editing functions built-in. Video and audio insert editing and assemble editing are available. The audio dub function allows you to add a new sound track to the channel 3 or 4 channels without affecting either the original video or channel 1 and 2 audio tracks.

The BR-DV6000U integrates into existing EDIT-DESK (a JVC linear edit system) with a JVC proprietary connector. You can connect the machine to the RM-G800 remote controller.

DVCAM Playback

JVC asserts that the BR-DV6000U will playback professional DVCAM recorded tapes. Now you won't have to buy or rent expensive equipment to integrate DVCAM source material to your project for editing.

SMPTE Time Code for Frame Accuracy

The BR-DV6000U has a time code reader/generator along with BNC connectors for time code in and out. The machine provides a full range of time code options including Preset, Rec-run, Free-run and Re-Gen settings.

2.5 Inch Color LCD Monitor

The high-resolution LCD monitor on the front panel provides monitoring and editing convenience. Time code, audio levels and menu settings can be overlayed on the video display.

Extensive Optional Features for Your Individual Requirements

The BR-DV6000U deck offers optional XLR audio connections. The SA-X61 and SA-X62 gives you XLR input and output respectively. The optional SA-K46 allows you to control the unit from a PC with RS-232C. The SA-DV6000 option gives you network connectivity. You can control the unit from a wired or wireless LAN (local area network). This feature allows for real time MPEG4 streaming.

PAL / NTSC Playback Capability

Both NTSC and PAL signals can be recorded from that system's elements and played back in that system. This makes it easy to work with international material and transfer to a non-linear editing system for editing. When either system is input via the DV input both systems can be recorded in either NTSC or PAL system. Analog inputs do not allow for conversion.
